I'm passionate about the media landscape, content creation & communication technologies - and the impact of these mediums on the broader community. I've made hundreds of hours of long & short form content, I've worked on both client and agency sides, judged international awards and have taught media at tertiary level. I have strong interpersonal and business communication skill, I've presented at industry events and managed creative agencies in Australia and overseas.
I have extensive experience in producing broadcast television, commercials, long & short form content and feature film. This includes working within agencies, presenting to clients, mentoring staff and the day-to-day running of departments, cast and crews. I am particularly experienced in building teams, collaborating and managing executions, and overseeing their direction and budgets.
I am experienced in negotiating, writing & securing licences such as music right, image rights, talent contracts, contractor engagement, & associated agreements required to produce & exploit a property. I continue to educate myself on the latest media channel opportunities & work in consultation with leaders in media law to best understand the requirements needed to protect commercial interests.
I am experienced with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. I can accurately budget large-scale projects and forecast direct and indirect costs. Recent responsibilities have included preparing financial statements, negotiating image and music licences, overseeing P&L’s, quarterly and annual budgets and presenting forecasts and operating statements to directors.
